The legal bases for these treatments are the performance of a public interest mission which is entrusted to the controller and, when appropriate, the legitimate interest of the data controller.

The data we collect: if you browse the public website then the following information is logged by our server: your browser, operating system, IP address, date and time of your visit, visited pages, and amount of data transferred.
Why do we collect this data: this data is used to monitor for suspicious activities (e.g. attempts to hack the site), to diagnose problems on the site, and to create anonymous usage statistics. We do not attempt to identify or profile people based on this data.
Lawful basis for processing the data: processing this data is necessary for performance of a public interest mission and to keep this website secure and robust.

Public newsletters and bioinfo-genotoul mailing list
Newsletters are sent by the bioinfo-genotoul mailing list. This list is hosted by RENATER.
If you have an account on the Bioinfo Genotoul Platform, you are automatically added to the bioinfo-genotoul mailing list and you receive newsletters and messages addressed to all users.
If not, you can subscribe to our mailing list with Renater suscribe form.
The data we collect: the sign-up form for newsletters requires your email address.
Why we collect this data: this data enables us to send emails and newsletters and to create anonymous usage statistics.
Lawful basis for data processing : this data is automatically processed when you have an account on the Genotoul Bioinfo platform (in agreement with the Genotoul Bioinfo charter) and with your explicit consent when you subscribe directly with Renater suscribe form.
Who has access to the data: personal data is only accessible to the Genotoul platform team who manage the emails.
Data transfer: RENATER is based in France and the data is stored on servers located there.
Data retention: we will keep your personal data for as long as you wish to remain on the mailing list or have an account on the platform.

Training organisation
The data we collect: the training registration form asks for your name, phone number, email, registration type (INRA/Academic or non-academic) and possible comments. Once registered and accepted for the training, you will be asked for further administrative information.
Why we collect the data: to enable us to organize the training, and to keep registrants informed about the training. It is also used to create anonymous usage statistics.
Lawful basis for processing the data: the registration form asks for this consent.
Who has access to the data: personal data is only accessible to the Genotoul Bioinfo platform team and the MIAT laboratory administrative team who manage the event.
Data transfer: this data is located on a server hosted in Toulouse INRA DataCenter (France).
Data retention: data collected in the registration form will be kept 10 years or will be erased on demand. Administrative data will be kept 10 years (legal retention). The operational logs and related information are kept independently in order to guarantee the security of the infrastructure and its optimization.

Support demand forms
We use a ticket system to manage support, software and bank installation demands.
The data we collect: The support registration forms normally ask for your name, email and details of your problem.
Why we collect the data: this data is collected to help you use the platform services. Also to trace incidents, problems encountered and solutions found. It is also used to create anonymous usage statistics.
Lawful basis for processing the data: this data is only processed with your explicit consent. The registration form asks for this consent.
Who has access to the data: personal data is only accessible to the Genotoul Bioinfo platform team.
Data retention: data will be kept 15 years of will be erased on demand. The operational logs and related information are kept independently in order to guarantee the security of the infrastructure and its optimization.

Account demand form
We use a ticket system to manage account demands. Data is also stored in our LDAP directory (directory service used for account management) whan an account is created.
The data we collect: it’s depend on your situation. The account registration form ask for:
- your name
- your institutional email, address and phone number
- your recruiter institution, laboratory and team (and if Inra, the Inra Center and department)
- the account type (academic or private, permanent or temporary, status)
- If temporary: end of contract date, supervisor name, mail and phone number.
Why we collect the data: to identify and authenticate you as a user of the Genotoul platform services (see Genotoul Bioinfo charter). To manage your access rights, your quotas, your newsletters subscriptions. To keep you informed of plateform changes. Finally this data will also be used for administrative, operational, accounting, monitoring and security purposes and to create anonymous usage statistics.
Lawful basis for processing the data: this data is only processed with your explicit consent. The registration form asks for this consent.
Who has access to the data: personal data is only accessible to the Genotoul Bioinfo platform team.
Data retention: in our LDAP directory until your account is closed ( see conditions in Genotoul-Bioinfo charter ). Data will be keeped 15 years or will be erased on demand. Operational logs and related information are kept independently in order to guarantee the infrastructure security and optimization.

Resources request form
We use a ticket system to handle exceptional resource requests. In case of quote request, some information (name, email, request details, phone number) will be stored in our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to track your request and your possible purchase.
The data we collect: it’s depend on your request. The resources request form ask for:
- the project investigator name
- your institutional email, address and phone number
- your title/position and laboratory
- the scientific project details
- the type of request (storage, CPU, virtual machine, …), its duration, the login concerned by the request if necessary and the need for a quote or not for paid services.
Why we collect the data: to analyze and respond to your request, to trace our resources usage.
